Easy Pretty Eye Makeup Tips
The key to creating a subtle makeup style is to select eyeshadows that are either matte or have just a slight shimmer to them. You can achieve an enchanting look with very little effort by choosing just one or two colors. Try the following:
- Pink Eyeshadow
- Violet Eyeshadow
- Bronze Eyeshadow
- White or Ivory Shimmer
When you use a pink color like you see above it forms the basis for your look. We automatically associate pink with pretty. Then, when you apply the bronze or a brown eyeshadow over it it softens the bronze. The violet adds the prettiness. Let’s take a look at how easy it is to create a look like this one.
How To Do Pretty Eye Makeup
Start off by priming your eyes, but only if you need to. You can do this either by using an oil-free foundation or an eye makeup primer.
Apply a pink eyeshadow to your upper eyelid and crease area.
Take a bronze color and define the crease with it. If you are just learning to apply eyeshadow there is super easy way to do it. Read how to put on eyeshadow the easy way. Then come back to these makeup instructions.
Take the tip of your brush and apply a small amount of bronze at the outer corner of your lower eyelid.
Tap your brush into the violet eyeshadow and apply the color on your lower eyelid all the way up to meet the bronze. Now, lightly blend them together. You can dab more bronze if you need to.
There are two keys to finishing this look. Adding depth and highlighting. Remember that when you add a lighter color next to another darker color it gives contrast. That’s what we’re going to do here.
Use a little dab of highlighter on the inner corner of the eye. Tap a little spot on the center of your upper eyelid. Now swipe a little under your eyebrow for a clean and polished look.
When you’re finished take a look and see if you need to use a blending brush. Then clean off any little specks of color. You can add even more intensity with a little eyeliner in either a brown or purple to define your look even further. Then top of your look with your best mascara.
Pretty eye makeup is easy to achieve. It’s a matter of using beautiful colors, applying them in the right places and defining your eyes. Instant eye magic!
