Mineral makeup concealers are perfect for tweaking because you already know that they are made with mineral mica pigments. Since your face skintone is not one color, but actually several you can get a very good match by adding tiny amounts of a mica pigment to your concealer. Usually, you will want a mica pigment that is darker than your own skin coloring. If you are covering dark undereye circles then choose one in the warm range with more of an orange tone to it.
You can mix this by simply putting it into a little ziplock plastic bag and squishing it to blend or placing it in small empty lipgloss container and blending with a small spatula. If you like you can even make concealer that is colored to visually correct multitude of skin problems.

When you’re applying concealer it is sometimes a two-step process. If you are covering an area that is very near to your own skintone then sometimes one concealer that matches will work. Other times it’s necessary to counteract the skin color first and then put on a matching tone.
To cover up discoloration, use a colored concealer to correct the problem. Generally you’ll find that green will cancel out redness. Orange covers dark blue/gray undereye circles. Spot conceal these areas first and then apply your product.
You can apply concealer and then follow it with either a foundation product, or another concealer. Keep in mind that you want to use the minimum amount of product necessary to get the job done.
