Play up your eyes the easy way.

Apply Eye Makeup Primer

Prime your eyelids by smoothing either an eye makeup primer, eyeshadow base or a little of your oil-free foundation over the eye area. Make sure to apply your best undereye concealer to any areas that need it – especially the inner eyelid area next to your nose. Also, below your eyes.

Grab Your Tools:

Flat eyeliner brush – The tip is small, square and flat and just a little soft.

Dark brown powder eyeshadow – Save the black eyeshadow for when you get the hang of the technique.

Distilled water – There’s no bacteria in it, so you don’t have to worry about introducing something you don’t want into your shadows.

Create The Look

This easy eyeliner method will teach you how to put on eyeliner that always looks great. Here’s how:

Take your eyeliner brush and swish the tip back and forth into a little of the brown eyeshadow. Tap on a paper towel. (Never blow shadow off a brush.)

Rest your elbow on a table to steady your hand.

Take your other hand and place your finger at the outer edge of your eye between your upper eyelid and eyebrow. Apply slight upward pressure.

Place your brush next to your lashes. Begin making a series of small dashes from the outer eye area towards the center. This is what you will be doing:

What will actually happen is that the dashes will run together in one continuous line.

Now…Just line your lower lashes the same way. If you need to you can fill in the line by doing it again.

Here’s a tip on how to put on eyeliner that lasts all day. Simply dip your brush into the distilled water FIRST. Then pick up a little of the shadow. Line twice if you prefer heavy eyeliner styles.

Oops…If you need to clean up any mistakes, just use a cotton swab dipped in water. It makes touch ups a breeze.

Once you’ve perfected this easy method of doing eyeliner you can use it when you do
