Easy Lip Gloss Method

It shows you how to combine a base that you most likely have on hand already – a clear gloss lipstick.

To that you will then add a pigment. Again, you probably already have pigment on hand – a colored lipstick.

You'll do all the melting in your microwave for this custom gloss.

Microwave Lip Gloss Recipe

  • One clear lipstick like Cover Girl Clear Lipstick.

  • One-fourth of a colored lipstick

  • An empty lip balm or gloss container

  • A small glass measuring cup that can be used in the microwave

Step One: Clean our your container. Wash with soap and warm water. Let dry.

Step Two: Slice both lipsticks into chunks and place in measuring cup.

Step Three: Microwave for several seconds at a time, checking, until melted.

Step Four: Remove measuring cup with a pot holder. Remember, this stuff gets hot! Now, swirl the colors together with a spoon.

Step Five: Carefully pour into the empty container and let set. You can cool it in the refrigerator.

If it needs more color then simply scoop it back into the measuring cup and add more of your lipstick color. Then melt and pour it into the container again.
