Easy Homemade Eyeshadow

"It's gorgeous creamy color..."

There’s a new easy method for making your own homemade eyeshadow. It doesn’t even require special mini presses or grinders. The best part is that you can mix it up in just a minute or two and it’s ready to wear! Not only that, but the color possibilities are endless.

Mousse Eye Shadow Base

What makes it so simple? This new method uses a mousse eye shadow product for the base.

Try Maybelline Mousse Eye Enhancers in Ivory Illusion.

Or...use another creamy product... Like Stila Eye Pots mousse shadow. You'll use the mousse product for the base and add pigment from a pressed powder eyeshadow.

The result – Instant Custom Eyeshadow.

Fun Eyeshadow Recipe

1. Scoop out a tiny mound of Mousse Eyeshadow and place it on a white plate. (The white makes it easier to see your colors.)

2. Take a color like CoverGirl Eye Enhancers and lightly scrape the top with a butter knife. You don’t want to break up the color, you just want a little heap of pigment.

3. With your butter knife or an art spatula, begin mixing the two products together. Slowly add more pigment to adjust the color. You can see from the photo how this color turns into a beautiful aqua.

4. Scoop up with the butter knife and place in a small empty container like you use for making lipgloss.

The beauty of making homemade eye shadow this way is that you can easily adjust the color from light to dark. Plus, you still have your original eyeshadow!
