Feather eyelashes are fun to use for wild fantasy makeup looks and they take your makeup style beyond the ordinary and into the fantasy realm in just minutes. Combining them with intense eyeshadow colors or even contact lenses can take your look into the outer realms of the imagination.

Fantasy Eye Makeup Tips

One of the most important points to keep in mind when working with extreme false eyelashes are that they can overpower your entire look if you’re not careful. The way to keep this from happening is to use high pigment eyeshadow products when creating your look. Here are some makeup tips to help you out:

  • Use several colors of high pigment eye makeup products.

  • Dark and light eyeshadow enhance each other. If you look at the picture below you’ll see that the lighter colors next to the dark purple look brighter.

  • Color the entire eyelid and use several colors. In this picture yellow, turquoise and purple are combined for the total look.

  • Use eyeshadow under the eyelid to balance the heaviness of color on the top eyelid.

    • When you apply the eyeshadow under the eye, use a thick line of color to really make it stand out.

  • The inner eyelid area next to the side of the nose can also be done with color. This makes the eyes appear even larger.

  • With eyebrows you have a choice. You can go lighter to create a pretty fantasy makeup look like you saw in the first picture above, or you can give emphasis to the eyebrow with deeper color and let it become part of the total eye look.

  • If you make your eyebrows darker, then balance the color by using a thin line of darker eyeliner on your lids. That is what was done in the picture here.

  • You can even extend the line down all the way down the sides of your nose, slowly soften the line, and it will become part of your total look.

Feather eyelashes are wonderful to use in your fantasy makeup looks. You can apply them in minutes and even change your makeup style just by selecting a different pair. It’s another way to quickly do a creative makeup style.
