It’s amazing how good the cheap best lip balms are. Most contain great lip conditioning ingredients and are easy to apply. Of course the great part is that they can purchased for less than $5. That makes them perfect for using in all your cosmetic recipes. Here are my favorites:

Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer, SPF 15 – An exceptional product for softening and smoothing dry, chapped lips. This is a great one if you’re looking for a colorless product with no fragrance. $2.49 at Walgreens.com

Cococare Cocoa Butter Lip Balm – You’ve probably seen this product in the stores and maybe never gave it a second thought, but this one actually works well for helping to heal dry chapped lips. It’s only $1.19. Another great find at Walgreens.com

Burt’s Bees Beewax Lip Balm – Burt’s Bees has quite a following among those seeking the best lip balms. This product is one of the popular in the line. It’s formulated with beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil and additional oils. The peppermint gives it a strong scent and makes your lips tingle. $2.99.
